Choose the bra to use for your bra hat project, and note the size of the bra. Visit the local lingerie shop or the women's department of a clothing store, and ask if they have foam or cardboard support inserts that fill the display bras in their store. Ask for the inserts that match the size bra you chose for the project. For this hat project, the main features of the bra are not hidden; they are enhanced.
Wrap the Hot Sexy Lingerie around the foam model head with the cups facing outward. The "V" portion of the cups should be in the middle of the forehead area. Secure the bra in that position with a safety pin, using it also to fasten the straps that go around your back. These are the only straps you will not be removing.
Stand in front of a mirror and use the tailor's chalk to draw a line where your bra overlaps the corset/bustier.
Remove both the bra and corset/bustier.
Draw a second line mirroring line A -- 1/4 inch below A. This is line B.
Cut along line A. Use the fabric scissors for the fabric part of the corset/bustier and use the wire cutter to cut the boning.
Cut an extra ¼ inch off each section of boning and place the boning tips on the exposed pieces of boning. Push the boning back into its channel.
Flip the corset/bustier over and draw a line across the top cut edge 1/4 of an inch below the edge. This is line C.
Cover the cut edge of the corset/bustier with the stretchy bias tape. Make sure the edges of the bias tape line up with lines B and C. Use the straight pins to secure the bias tape to the corset/bustier so it completely covers the cut edge.MORE:Cheap Plus Size Lingerie Sale
